Meet the BABBs
The badass biker babes from the Central Texas Chapter love their Harleys, the open road, and each other!
Name: Casey Tiffany. Age: 58. Profession: VP of Care Management for Family Tree Private Care. First bike: 2003 Harley-Davidson Sportster®, which I bought in 2013. Current bike: 2021 Harley-Davidson CVO⢠Road Glide®. Favorite bike: All of them. I wish I could have kept each one!
When did you start riding and why? I grew up on a ranch and there wasnât one piece of farm equipment I was afraid to drive, but I really wanted a motorcycle. First, my parents said no, then I couldnât afford one in college, then I had children, so I waited until my kids were grown to get my first bike.
First long trip? A weekend to the Three Sisters in Leakey, Texas.

Favorite ride? Probably the âTail of the Biltmore,â which encompasses Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as several scenic roads, and a cool day trip to the Biltmore estate.
The best thing about being in the Central Texas Chapter? As a single mom, I was isolated and had few friends. Once I got a motorcycle, I suddenly had a group of lifelong friends, including my wonderful husband, who I met and married in 2014 (wild romance and marriage).
The best thing about being a BABB? Itâs not often you get this many strong, opinionated, wild, and free women in one place. They are my tribe.
Any advice to women who want to start riding? Itâs probably best to have someone other than a hubby or boyfriend teach you to ride if you value your relationship (and his bike). Find another woman willing to take you to a parking lot to practice tight turns, and donât be hard on yourself as you learn.

Name: Carrie D. Bradshaw, CPA, CCIFP. Age: 53. Profession: Certified Public Accountant and owner of a public accounting firm in Georgetown, Texas. First bike: 1970s model Kawasaki 175. Current bike: 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide® 3. Favorite bike: the Road Glide® 3.
When did you start riding and why? I started riding when I was 11 because my family rode. I stopped riding in my late teens and have been back in the saddle for two and a half years. My husband and I bought a motorcycle for him and a Tri Glide® for me for our Valentineâs gift in February 2023. This has been our âempty nestâ activity.
First long trip? Austin, Texas to Ouray, Colorado in June 2023 with friends from high school.
Favorite ride? The Arkansas ride with our Central Texas Chapter in September 2024. The roads were amazing.
The best thing about being in the Central Texas Chapter? The people. The road captains are exceptional leaders and work very hard to craft great rides; the Ladies of Harley® group supports and cares for everyone, and the âregularsâ on chapter rides are individuals I know I can trust with my life. The very best thing is riding with my husband in this setting. He loves this group, and I love seeing him happy.
The best thing about being a BABB? These women live life out loud and love hard! They stand by each other through thick and thin, brought together by a shared passion for the open road and riding. Itâs a friend group like no other Iâve experienced.
Any advice to women who want to start riding? Take lessons from a qualified instructor so you can be confident and safe on the road.

Name: Hillary Nichols. Age: 68. Profession: Business Operations. First bike: 1999 Harley-Davidson Sportster® 883 Hugger. Current bike: 2023 Harley-Davidson Road Glide 3. Favorite bike: the Road Glide 3.
When did you start riding and why? I started riding in 2000 when I was living in the Raleigh area. I was a keen cyclist, but could only cover shorter distances. Coworkers encouraged me to take up motorcycling to see more of the beautiful North Carolina landscape. I did and never looked back.
First long trip? In the early 2000s, I rode down to Washington DC for the Rolling Thunder rally (now Rolling to Remember) each year with my first chapter in Edison, New Jersey.
Favorite ride? A trip with Linda Brown in 2023. We left Texas and cut up through New Mexico to ride eastern and central Colorado. From there, we rode up to Wyoming and across to South Dakota.
The best thing about being in the Central Texas Chapter? There are always people to ride with on day trips or longer adventures.
The best thing about being a BABB: We get out and ride. A lot!
Any advice to women who want to start riding? There are lots of riding groups for women, and female-focused rallies. Check out groups in your area and talk to people about riding. Everyone will be excited to share their stories.

Name: Joi Bodine Haggerty. Age: 67. Profession: Registered nurse. First bike: 2006 Heritage Softail®. Current bike: 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST. Favorite bike: the CVO Road Glide ST.
When did you start riding and why? I was pumping gas halfway between Houston and Austin, and a huge group of riders passed me. When I realized they were all women, I knew that was what I had to do. Iâve been riding for 16 years now.
First long trip? A solo ride from Houston to Florida for New Yearâs Eve.
Favorite ride? I rode with my sister and her husband from Utah, through Colorado then up into Canada and Alaska via the Alaska Highway. Then we rode down the west coast to the redwood forest, through Yosemite National Park, Death Valley, and back to Utah. It took about nine weeks.
The best thing about being in the Central Texas Chapter? These people really taught me to ride and learn about motorcycle culture. I will always remember the road captains who pushed me to ride harder and stronger.
The best thing about being a BABB? What an amazing group of women. I love strong women who support each otherâs strengths.
Any advice to women who want to start riding? Connect with others through a H.O.G. chapter and ride every chance you get.

Name: Kathy âKatâ Honeycutt. Age: 75. Profession: Retired bank operations officer. First bike: 2005 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy®. Current bike: 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide 3. Favorite bike: the Road Glide 3.
When did you start riding and why? I started at age 16 on a Peugeot scooter overseas. I got back in the saddle in my fifties because I was tired of being a passenger.
First long trip? Utah to Montana.
Favorite ride? The last one with the BABBs to Sedona, Arizona, will always top the list, even if the weather didnât always cooperate.
The best thing about being in the Central Texas Chapter? The H-D dealership is very supportive of its members. And compared with other chapters, we have a large number of women riders, which sets a completely different tone.
The best thing about being a BABB? We have great time together and always look forward to our next adventure.
Any advice to women who want to start riding? Thereâs a great selection of motorcycles that allow women to ride comfortably and with confidence. After you find the right bike, itâs all about the miles.

Name: Linda Brown. Age: 70. Profession: Retired computer programmer. First bike: 2013 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide. Current bike: 2018 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide. Favorite bike: My current bike.
When did you start riding and why? I was a passenger for a few years, and when my children left home, I decided to either learn to ride on my own or quit talking about it.
First long trip? Arkansas with our chapter.
Favorite ride? So hard to choose! I have been to Arkansas with four other women riders, out east to visit the Biltmore Estate, up to South Dakota (where I had a close encounter with a herd of bison), and most recently to Sedona with eight other women riders.
The best thing about being in the Central Texas Chapter? The opportunity to ride often as part of a group and explore new places and routes.
The best thing about being a BABB? Support and camaraderie with other women riders.
Any advice to women who want to start riding?: Push past any fears you have. The more you ride, the more comfortable you will become, and you will truly understand the term âwind therapy.â

Name: Sheri Karol. Age: 62. Profession: Retired school district Capital Asset Accountant. First bike: 2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster® 883. Current bike: 2023 Harley-Davidson Low Rider® ST. Favorite bike: Low-Rider ST.
When did you start riding and why? Growing up, I rode dirt bikes and had a blast. I got my motorcycle license in 2006, a year after my husband bought a Harley®. After riding as a passenger on his bike, I decided I wanted my own and purchased a used 2005 Sportster.
First long trip? Iâve ridden multiple long trips, but my first real long trip was with five other ladies. We rode through parts of Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, covering around 3,000 miles.
Favorite ride? It has to be the one weâve just completed dubbed the 2025 Sedona Ride. Arizona offers an array of scenery, ranging from arid flatlands to pine-tree-filled mountains. Numerous curves and switchbacks were the icing on the cake, not to mention the fun we had together!
The best thing about being in the Central Texas Chapter? The riding and many good friends Iâve made over 13 years. Iâm currently the treasurer and activities coordinator. And I canât say enough about our sponsor dealership, Central Texas Harley-Davidson® in Round Rock.
The best thing about being a BABB? The support and encouragement we give each other. Iâm so impressed by these ladies and have learned so much from them, especially in challenging situations.
Advice to women who want to start riding? Don’t let anyone talk you out of learning to ride a motorcycle. Riding puts your mind and soul in a place untouchable by others.
