Austria, 210km<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who fancies a tour of Austria\u2019s largest wine region and has a little room in their panniers for a souvenir or three? Conveniently close to the capital, Vienna, and all its highlights, you can take a round trip from the pleasant little village of Kleinr\u00f6tz to Spannberg (riding through the surrounding forests is fantastic), Zistersdorf (an oil town, believe it or not), Hausbrunn (handy for the borders with both the Czech Republic and Slovakia), Grosskrut (great for hiking), Poysdorf (try the Vino Versum Poysdorf wine museum), Laa an der Thaya (finding the castle won\u2019t be difficult), Unterstinkenbrunn (yes, it really is called that) and back to Kleinr\u00f6tz again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poysdorf\u2019s Oldtimer Museum is home to a lovingly maintained collection of historic cars, motorcycles, tractors and other mechanical treasures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schloss Asparn boasts a prehistoric and archaeological collection with three million exhibits, offering the chance to learn about 40,000 years of history in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
