This route offers more than 800km of incredible mountain riding crossing the French Alps from north to south, from Thonon-les-Bains on the shores of Lake Geneva to Menton on the Mediterranean. It carves its way through sleepy villages from the high peaks of the Northern Alps and Mont Blanc, to the turquoise waters of the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azurvia the Southern Alps \u2013 some of the most spectacular landscapes in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route joins together 15 mountain passes, including the most famous cols of the Tour de France: Col de la Cayolle, Col de Valberg and Europe\u2019s highest, the 2,764m Col de l\u2019Iseran. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Riding high<\/strong>
Accept the challenge of riding the Col de la Bonnette up to the monument at Cime de la Bonette \u2013 at 2,802m, it\u2019s the highest non-dead-end road in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Col with a view<\/strong>
From the Col de la Colombi\u00e8re (1,613 metres) pass through La Clusaz to arrive at the Col des Aravis (1,486 metres). This pass provides a magnificent view of the entire chain of the Mont Blanc massif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
