What are the benefits of H-D Certified⢠Approved Used Bikes?
When you own any Harley-Davidson® motorcycle the expectations are sky high, justifiably of course. Choose a H-D Certified⢠Approved Used Harley-Davidson and you can rest assured they have been rigorously checked and certified to earn the honour of being called a H-D Certified⢠machine. You can only purchase H-D Certified⢠authorised machines from an authorised Harley® dealer. A used Harley up to 20 years old can qualify for this certificate of authenticity. This provides you with 100% certainty and the promise that you not only know the difference with your new bike, but feel it too. 110 point Pre-Delivery Check
- Inspection of the technical condition of the motorcycle is the same for all authorised dealers
- It amounts to a check of 110 points covering the whole operation of the machine
- A detailed record signed by the performing technician is available to the customer from each inspection
Only once this has been done can a machine earn the right to be classed as H-D Certified⢠and qualify for the other benefits associated with these premium used bikes.
History Check / HPI Check / Insurance Database
- In the H-D⢠Certified program, motorcycles are offered only with UK specification (VIN code starting with 5HD). This means that the motorcycle is designed for the UK market and meets all legislative and technical requirements for operation on UK & European roads. There are many motorcycles with US specification on the general used market (VIN code starting with 1HD) These may involve additional work and cost to bring them to the required specification for use in the UK, these can be included within the H-D Certified⢠program but only once the specification for UK has been met.
- We check all H-D Certified⢠bikes against the HPI register which would identify any interest from a finance provider over the machine or identify any major accident damage both of which provide you with confidence in your purchase.
Mileage Verification Check
An online check is performed to verify from records that the mileage declared on the bike is correct and confirmed in writing.
12 Month Comprehensive Mechanical & Electrical Component Guarantee
Once the machine has been H-D Certified⢠we back this with a minimum 12 month Guarantee, this can be extended beyond the 12 months to provide you with added protection against unforeseen expense.
12 Month Roadside Assistance
In addition to the 12 month Guarantee we provide a 12 month Harley|ASSIST⢠package backed by Allianz that will provide Roadside Assistance, Recovery and Onward Travel if required 24/7, should you extend your Guarantee then the Assistance package is also extended.
