Sometimes referred to as the \u20184,000 curves\u2019, the Mae Hong Son Loop in north-west Thailand covers 600km of spectacular mountain roads, misty passes, paddy fields and tropical jungle, beginning and ending in the tourist centre of Chiang Mai. Along the way you will pass hill tribe villages, caves, waterfalls and rugged wilderness \u2013 more than enough to make this a bucket-list ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The loop can be tackled in either direction \u2013 more experienced riders should head north from Chiang Mai towards Pai, while less experienced riders may find it better to ease into the ride by heading towards Mae Sariang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REACH THE SUMMIT
<\/strong>Don\u2019t miss the Doi Inthanon National Park and the ride to the top of its eponymous mountain \u2013 at 2,565 metres high, it\u2019s Thailand\u2019s highest peak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POINTS OF INTEREST
