The mascot represents the Seabees \u201cCan Do\u201d mission and was designed in 1942by Frank Iafrate, a 22-year-old civilian file clerk at the Quonset Point Naval Air Station in Davisville, RI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fighting Seabee statue, constructed in 1971, originally sat at the entrance gate to the Naval Air Station.
