{"id":10326,"date":"2025-11-01T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hog.thecreativeplot.com\/en-ca\/?p=7672"},"modified":"2025-11-01T11:00:00","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T18:00:00","slug":"quappelle-valley-loop-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hog.thecreativeplot.com\/en-eu\/quappelle-valley-loop-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Qu\u2019Appelle Valley Loop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"intro wp-block-paragraph\">Saskatchewan | 165 km<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This route starting at Prairie Harley-Davidson is a favourite for the Regina HOG<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Chapter when time is short, but if you\u2019re not in a rush you can easily stretch it out with photo stops as you ride through two very scenic provincial parks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Head northeast out of town and make your way towards Echo Lake. Follow the lake\u2019s north shore toward Fort Qu\u2019Appelle, founded in 1864 as a trading post for the Hudson\u2019s Bay Company. Continue along Mission Lake, pausing in Lebret to admire the 1865-built Sacred Heart Church and walk up to the hilltop chapel for outstanding views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Carry on along the shores of Katepwa Lake. Katepwa Beach\u2019s waterfront picnic tables are a lovely spot to stop for lunch. Then head south towards the town of Indian Head, where you\u2019ll pass Saskatchewan\u2019s oldest round stone barn, built in 1882. Loop back towards Regina to complete your ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>History lesson<br><\/strong>History buffs should plan a little extra time to stop at the museums in Fort Qu\u2019Appelle and Lebret. Both showcase Indigenous artifacts and historic items from early farming communities.
