The Boso Flowerline

Japan | 46 km

The Boso Flower Line follows the coast along the southern tip of the Boso Peninsula just 15 km from Tokyo across Tokyo Bay. The Boso Peninsula has many beaches along the shoreline which contrasts with the mountainous interior. This scenic ride follows the coastline for about 46km and, on a clear day, you should be able to see the iconic sight of Mount Fuji, while the city of Tateyama at the end of the ride has many attractions including Tateyama Castle and the Akayama Underground Tunnels.

As the name suggests, one of the major attractions of this ride from January until early summer is the proliferation of flowers such as nanohana or rapeseed blossoms, marigolds and poppies. Collections of small flower farms such as the Shiramazu and Senda flower fields line the route and are free to visit.

A Panoramic View of the Pacific
Nojima Saki Lighthouse is the second oldest in Japan and sits at the southernmost point of the peninsula around the midway point of the ride. It makes for a great rest stop to enjoy some lunch and the amazing views of the Pacific Ocean.
