The route climbs from the city of Kobe all the way to the top of Mount Rokko, offering a panoramic view of both the city and the ocean. Rokko also has fashionable facilities such as the Nunobiki Herb Garden and plenty of cafes, making it a recommended area for day-tripping. The ‘million-dollar’ night view from Mount Rokko is one of the best in the Kansai region.

The mountain resort of Mount Rokko offers many attractions, including the Rokko Alpine Botanical Garden, and well worth a visit when you have had your fill of the beautiful vistas of the city from the top of the mountain. Arima hot springs resort on the north side of Mount Rokko is one of the revered Three Ancient Springs, which have been in use for over a thousand years. Any of the dozens of Arima Onsen hotels offers a traditional Japanese hot spring experience.

Garden Terrace
The Rokko Garden Terrace, one of the most panoramic spots in Japan, offers a unique place to enjoy traditional Japanese food, including Kobe beef, and a jaw-dropping vista of Osaka Bay and Kobe city.
