Cebu Port to Panglao, Bohol

Philippines | 108 km

This route starts at the port of Cebu City with a 45-minute ferry ride to the Tubigon port on the island of Bohol, then along the rural roads of Bohol to the town of Panglao on the south coast. Panglao is the ideal jumping-off point for visiting Bohol’s unique attractions including the famed Chocolate Hills, wildlife including tarsiers and dolphins, and crystal-clear dive waters and palm-rimmed beaches.

The final destination of the route is Panglao Island, the tourist hub of Bohol and the perfect starting point for visiting the area’s other attractions. The palm-lined Panglao Beach is spectacular at sunset and no trip to Bohol would be complete without visiting the famous Chocolate Hills and its 1,268 cone-shaped hills, so named because they turn brown in the summer.

TERRIFIC TARSIERS
The Philippines Tarsier Sanctuary, on Bohol, was built to preserve the rare and endangered – and very photogenic – tarsiers, the world’s smallest primates. As the enclosure is large and semi-wild, visitors are able to observe the tarsiers in their natural habitat, as if viewing them in the wild.
