Granville Square to Chan Fung Kee

Hong Kong | 40 km

This 40-minute ride is perfect for those days when the freedom of the open road is calling. It’ll take you northwards, across the metropolitan area of Hong Kong, ending at the popular café of Chan Fung Kee close to the Shenzhen border, where you can take a well-earned break.

Starting out at the fashion and cultural district of Granville Square, you’ll leave the Kowloon Peninsula through the Lion Rock tunnel to Tolo Highway (Route 8) and snake your way past nature reserves, coastline and tourist attractions. If you have time to spare at the end of your ride, continue on from the café along Bride’s Pool Road and you’ll find yourself surrounded by the landscapes of Plover Cove and Pat Sin Leng Country Parks, and close to the Yan Chau Tong Marine Park – one of Hong Kong’s hidden gems.

MAKE A WISH
Don’t forget to stop at the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree and make your requests for the year ahead or hang blessings from the branches.

THE PATH TO ENLIGHTENMENT
Climb the steep steps to reach the awe-inspiring Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery in Sha Tin, famed for its statues.
