Dubbed \u201cThe Loneliest Road in America\u201d by <em>Life<\/em> magazine in 1986, the highway is particularly lonely along its 250-mile stretch between Fallon and Ely, where traffic is sparse and towns and gas stations are few and far between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its article, <em>Life<\/em> magazine claimed, \u201cThere are no points of interest.
