Block off at least three full days for this epic route just outside Ottawa, with stunning scenery, charming small towns, and exceptional riding roads all the way around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Riding highlights include Highways 28 and 118, which show off big rock cuts of the Canadian Shield. Then, heading northwest along Highway 35 from Buttermilk Falls to Dwight, the satiny road takes long curves along a gorgeous corridor where you\u2019ll want to stop often for lookout views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Highway 60 is another stunner as the main access to Algonquin Park, where you\u2019ll have the chance to spot wildlife like moose and wolves while riding through towering trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are loads of places to stop for refreshments along this loop. Rider favourites include the 100-year-old Wilno Tavern in the Madawaska Valley, the Iron Rooster Rotisserie and Grill between Madoc and Marmoa, and Rosie\u2019s Caf\u00e9 & General Store in Denbigh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Masters of their craft
<\/strong>These roads were built in the mid-1800s by craftsmen intent on making the roadway follow the terrain, rather than blasting through to build a straight path. The result is a network of curvy ribbons that seem like they were made just for motorcycles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
