From here, it\u2019s sandy beaches and fishing towns as far as you can see as the road hugs the coast. You\u2019ll find plenty of opportunities to stop for a photo or a bite to eat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plan to stop at Sherbrooke Village, Nova Scotia\u2019s largest provincial museum. Located on the St. Mary\u2019s River, the charming attraction boasts more than 80 heritage buildings from the mid-1800s, and comes alive through interpreters costumed in period dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then you\u2019ll cut north to Antigonish and find yourself on the Northumberland Shore. Check out the Cape George Point Lighthouse for views over St. George\u2019s Bay, or tuck into pizza beloved by celebrities and St. FX university students alike at The Wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Great Scot!<\/strong><br>Known as the \u201cHighland Heart of Nova Scotia,\u201d Antigonish has a rich Gaelic history and is home to the longest running Highland Games in North America.
