{"id":309,"date":"2024-10-18T00:48:05","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T07:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hog.thecreativeplot.com\/en-ca\/?p=309"},"modified":"2026-01-12T10:33:36","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T17:33:36","slug":"fast-friends","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hog.thecreativeplot.com\/en-ca\/fast-friends\/","title":{"rendered":"FAST FRIENDS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"intro wp-block-paragraph\">New bonds form on the road between Val-d\u2019Or and Timmins<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Gordie Bowles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: <\/strong>What do you get when you mix together two HOG<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> chapters from two different provinces? <br><strong>A: <\/strong>Well, you get a rip-roarin\u2019 good time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bad jokes aside, when the Abitibi HOG Chapter was planning a ride from Val-d\u2019Or, Quebec, to Timmins, Ontario, last summer, they reached out to the Northeast Ontario HOG Chapter for some travel and lodging advice. The collaboration with the Northeast Chapter made the trip much more convenient and enjoyable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe had the idea to travel to Timmins, and I was the one chosen to organize this ride,\u201d Stephane said. \u201cI remembered seeing a HOG patch on the vest of a guy from Timmins at our dealership, Abitibi Harley-Davidson in Amos. So when I got back home I went to the Timmins Facebook page and sent them a message.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stephane mapped out the route with the help of a new friend. The two groups met for lunch at the mid-point between the two cities \u2013 Kenogami, Ontario \u2013 then rode together back to Timmins, where they socialized and some joined for dinner.
