Saguenay Loop
Quebec | 440 km
The Saguenay Loop is stacked with all the elements that make up a great ride: challenging roads, lots of curves, stunning scenery and interesting places to stop and stretch your legs along the way.
Starting in Quebec City, head east and follow the banks of the St. Lawrence River to the Charlevoix Region. In Baie-Saint-Paul, take the 381 North for a heart-pumping ride through the Laurentian Mountains. Pause to catch your breath at the Petit lac Ha! Ha! Lookout, then carry on to La Baie.
Heading back west, stop to visit the Bagotville Air Defence Museum, where you can virtually fly a CF-18 Hornet in a flight simulator or tour the base at CFB Bagotville. Pause in beautiful Chicoutimi for lunch, then take Route 175 South for a relaxing two-hour journey through the woods back to Quebec City.
Flood watch
Don’t hesitate to spend the night in Saguenay and visit the sites documenting the aftermath of the great 1996 flood, including the Musée de la Petite Maison Blanche.
