Central PEI Tour

Prince Edward Island | 179 km

This three-hour ride takes you along shoreline and inland roads for a scenic tour of both the coasts and countryside of the central Island.

Start your day in Summerside, P.E.I.’s second-largest city. As you head southeast, pause to take in the charming village of Victoria-By-the-Sea, then ride along the Red Sands Shore.

Stop to admire the view (or cool off with a quick swim) at Argyle Shore Provincial Park, then continue on to Skmaqn–Port-la-Joye–Fort Amherst National Historic Site to explore the Mi’kmaw, Acadian and British history of the Island. This is also a good stop for impressive photos of the Charlottetown Harbour.

Cut north across the island to explore the Green Gables Shore, famous worldwide as the home of Anne with an E. Riding west to end your ride back in Summerside, you’ll pass Prince Edward Island National Park, with its iconic red cliffs and impressive parabolic dunes.

Wheels to Wings
This route ends at Air Force Heritage Park, where you can view a CP-121 Tracker anti-submarine and coastal patrol aircraft, a CP-107 Argus anti-submarine and maritime surveillance aircraft, and a CF-101 Voodoo supersonic air defence fighter.
