Check-in location
St. Martins Lighthouse at Harbour Park, 424 Main St., St. Martins, N.B., E5R 1C3
Begin your ride in Edmundston, where the Saint John and Madawaska rivers meet at the base of the Appalachian Mountains. Follow Route 2 through the Saint John River Valley. Past Fredericton, you’ll veer south onto Route 7 toward Saint John. Pause to explore the 19th-century architecture of the only city on the Bay of Fundy before heading on to Fundy-St. Martins. Here, the world’s highest tides mean the colourful fishing boats in the charming harbour may be sitting on the muddy ocean floor when you arrive.
Grab a lunch of fresh local seafood caught from those very boats, then head northeast toward Moncton, where you’ll end your ride with some time to browse at Harley-Davidson of Moncton.
Short detour for a long bridge
Just outside of Waterville, the route takes a quick detour to the Historic Hartland Covered Bridge. Built in 1910, this is the world’s longest covered bridge and is designated a national historic site of Canada.
