Ontario | 1,036 km

Check-in location
Sculpture of the Big Apple, 262 Orchard Rd., Colborne, Ont., K0K 1S0
Starting at Pfaff H-D, head east toward The Big Apple in Colborne (a great stop for pie), with Lake Ontario shimmering beside you. Enjoy the twisty roads of Prince Edward County, and pause for a break at Sandbanks Provincial Park or the patio at Waupoos Estates Winery before popping into Kingston H-D.
Take a day to explore Kingston, then start Day 3 on the Rideau Lakes roads, leaning a little deeper into each turn. Some call Perth Ontario’s prettiest town; everyone agrees it’s got the best butter tarts. By afternoon, the Parliament Buildings rise ahead, as does Freedom H-D of Ottawa. End the day with a milkshake at Zak’s Diner in Byward Market.
On Day 4, ride the curvy asphalt ribbon of Highway 118, lakes flashing blue through the pines. Visit the wolves at Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre before lunch at McKeck’s Tap & Grill. Overnight in Haliburton or Minden.
Day 5 has you rolling down through cottage country and the Kawartha Lakes, where winding roads suddenly open to wide lakes and little towns where time moves slower. Eventually, the road bends south, carrying you home to Durham H-D, or back to Pfaff H-D, where it all began.
Take your time
We recommend taking five full days for this loop of lakeside roads, wine country, the nation’s capital, Highlands twisties and Muskoka charm.
