After a quick jaunt on Highway 1 along the shores of Deer Lake, you’ll ride Route 430 all the way to Corner Brook. This scenic road takes you through the heart of Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can see evidence of the ancient tectonic shifts that created the continents as they are today.
Pause to walk on the red rocks of the exposed Earth’s mantle at Tablelands, admire the massive glacier-carved fjord at Western Brook Pond, and ride along vast stretches of sandy beach before heading east to end your day in the lovely port of St. Anthony.
Iceberg alley
Head to Fishing Point Municipal Park in St. Anthony to spot icebergs off the coast starting in late May.
