Manila Chapter turns 12
Joana Gonzales from Manila Chapter shares just how far the group has come
The H.O.G.™ Manila Chapter marked its 12th anniversary on 7 June 2025, with a special celebration that combined the thrill of the ride with heartfelt camaraderie. This milestone event was filled with roaring engines, warm laughter, and the unbreakable spirit of brotherhood.
The day began with a parade lap through Villar City, featuring Harley Owners Group™ members from across the Philippines. Proud contingents from the Cavite, Cebu, and Pampanga chapters joined Manila Chapter for the occasion. The parade of more than 90 riders made its way through the streets, filling the air with the rumble of V-twin and M8 engines, the unmistakable roar of freedom and power.

The ride culminated at the elegant Brittany Palazzo, where riders, families and friends gathered for an evening of recognition, gratitude, entertainment, brotherhood and heartfelt reflection. The programme featured special recognition moments, including the prestigious Loyalty Award honouring long-standing members, and the Officers Award celebrating those who voluntarily dedicated tremendous effort to make the event possible. Additionally, plaques of appreciation were presented to individuals whose generous contributions helped bring the celebration to life.
Jay Bautista, general manager of Harley-Davidson® of Manila, delivered a heartfelt message, applauding the chapter’s growth and unshakable community.
Current H.O.G. Manila Chapter Manager Joana Gonzales, along with the passionate Board of Directors, Fritz Ortiz, Mike Choi, Rene Galinato, and Atty. Gen. Jojo Jacob also shared their appreciation for the commitment and passion of the members, reaffirming the chapter’s mission to ride together, grow together, and continue building a legacy of unity.
Manila Chapter’s 12th anniversary wasn’t just a celebration – it was a powerful reminder of the friendships, values, and adventures that bind its members. No pressure. Just pure fun.
The first-ever Harley-Davidson dealership in the Philippines, Harley-Davidson of Manila EDSA Greenhills, officially opened its doors on 2 March 2013. This marked a significant milestone for Harley enthusiasts in the country, finally bringing the iconic American motorcycle brand closer to Filipino riders.
Later that year, on 24 June, the Harley Owners Group Philippines Chapter was officially formed, serving as the home for local Harley-Davidson riders and a hub for camaraderie, passion and adventure. As more dealerships opened across the country, it was eventually renamed in January 2017 to become Manila Chapter, reflecting the group’s home and evolving identity.
From its humble beginnings with just 91 members in 2013, the chapter has seen impressive growth. As of 2025, the chapter boasts a roster of 390 members, with 180 active riders. This growth speaks volumes about the thriving Harley-Davidson community in the Philippines and the enduring spirit of Manila Chapter.
Manila Chapter is proud to have the honour of holding the title of Asia Emerging Markets (AEM) “Chapter of the Year” for three consecutive years in 2022, 2023, and 2024, standing out among more than 30 chapters across 10 countries. This prestigious recognition was awarded for the chapter’s exceptional performance in ride activity, strong strategic partnerships, and impactful corporate social responsibility initiatives.
