Harley-Davidson Asia unveil modern remake of legendary Fat Boy model

Celebrating 35 years of Willie G. Davidson’s legendary Fat Boy design in Thailand

On 6 June, the Asian Emerging Markets (AEM) Team unveiled the updated 2025 Cruiser 117 line-up in Thailand. Dealers, media and customers marvelled over the three segments within the Cruiser portfolio: Custom, Classic and High-Output Powertrain.

This led to the formation of playbook “Beyond the Ordinary”, which has been rolled out across the 10 markets of AEM.

The team set out with the objective to deliver the coolest launch in the category, resulting in a fantastic and successful event, delivered in a grunge, industrial location called Factopia, that had been transformed into the symbolic “House of Harley-Davidson”.

Some lucky media, KOLs and dealer representatives were given the opportunity to experience test rides, the launch ceremony, product presentations, participate in Q&As, create content and enjoy some delicious catering, beverages and music.

The biggest highlight of the event was unboxing of new Fat Boy Gray Ghost – the special edition motorcycle based on the 1990 original, designed by Willie G. Davidson. The models were shrouded in black cloth, building anticipation before the covers were taken back to reveal the shining line-up.

Out of the 1990 Fat Boy Gray Ghost motorcycles produced, one was allocated to Thailand. Bidding rose and rose, until the lucky winner became its new proud owner for the sum of 3 million THB. Its glistening is sure to be turning heads wherever it goes!
