Let’s ride

Long before Harley Owners Group® became a force in the motorcycle world, Harley-Davidson® riders gathered and formed clubs to ride and share their passion. This photo, which originally appeared in Motorcycle Illustrated, depicts a 1912 gathering of a Chicago group.

As described by the magazine: “One of the most pleasant features of the first annual picnic and field day of the Chicago Motorcycle Club, held on June 29, was the interest manifested by the women riders of the city. Many of them accompanied the club as tandem passengers and a few piloted their own machines. Over 150 enthusiasts participated in the program.”
